Cron-O-Meter
I've tried online calorie counting and find it a bit cumbersome in that it depends on the computer and the internet connection. Cron-O-Meter runs like a marathoner on most systems and is many times faster than any online solution that I've tried. It's very personalizable, yet enables you to import foods and recipes from other users. Disadvantage: it records your eating on one computer.
Gyminee
"Keeping a detailed exercise and diet log is one of the best ways to stay motivated towards living a healthier lifestyle. Nutrition Data
"A personal storage area for your favorite foods and recipes. Keep all your favorite foods in your personal pantry. Analyze and improve your recipes. Compare foods, such as apples to oranges, as well as entire meals and recipes. Keep a personal log of every food you consume. ND's pantry will automatically total your intake of calories and more than 130 different nutrients."
A Calorie Counter
"The single most important factor in getting your weight to do exactly what you want it to do is calorie intake. Not fat, not carbs, not certain foods. It's calories. Whether your goal is weight loss, weight gain or just maintaining your current weight, the one factor playing the biggest role in making this happen is the number of calories you are eating. This isn't an opinion or a diet fad. This is the proven science of the human body."
I say, "Amen to that, brother!"
Calorie Control
"You can keep a running list of what you ate during the day. The tabulates the total calories eaten based on the number of servings you choose, and has a built-in tool to help you add fat grams."
